For the Love of Elmo

My two year old granddaughter loves Elmo. When I saw this Elmo fabric I had to buy it and make her a summer outfit. This pattern reminded me of the crossover dresses that I made for my daughter when she was that age. I followed the pattern for the top but took out lots and lots of fullness and length in the pants.

June's Quilt Block

This month I decided to continue with the diamond theme that I did last month. The block measures 14" square and is made up of many pieces. It was a real challenge for me but in the end I was pleased with the results. The relaxing part of the block was embroidering the stems and appliqueing the leaves. Next month, I think that I'll go back to doing an applique block, which one I'm not sure as yet.
